Mr. Axelrod said the White House wouldn't make its decision on immigration based on political considerations. "The president is committed to immigration reform," he said. "When the support is there and ready to go, then he's ready to go."

The election kinda shook democrats up a bit, and they are just now realizing that they won't be getting the Hispanic vote by lying.

It's just politics, but it might end up working to our advantage next year

Yeah, I agree. I think that the beginning of next year will be our only chance for quite a while. I don't know how quickly Congress is going to move on from health care reform AND how long they will take debating immigration reform if it ever gets brought up. Hopefully, DREAM Act can be brought up as a standalone bill. Boo, politics.

I think this is great for us. The Dream Act seems to be included in any type of immigration reform. Hispanics make up too big of a group to be ignored, and they have been putting this as a big issue for years now. This is what is pushing us forward.
