I have been lurking here for a while but this is actually my first post. Anyway, I am trying to apply for a nursing school for next fall semester. A criminal background check is one of the requirement and I am worried that since I do not have SSN, i will get rejected. I searched this forum and someone mentioned that you can still use your ITIN? I have a DL and an ITIN. Would these be enough documents to do a background check on me?
when i did my background check i just left the ssn blank and they accepted it. i guess it just depends on the company you did the background check with. sorry if i sound unclear, i'm in a hurry. pm me if you have more questions about nursing school.
Good question jin5587. I applied for Fall too, but If i ever get in I will also need to figure out how this background check works. Hopefully it will work out for us :] What schools did you apply to?
