Besides now moving on to a immigration bill, can these new health benefits apply to us? I remember there being a whole issue on how its not going to be applied to 'illegal immigrants'. Any insight?

It means they can move on with immigration. Well, not exactly, the House and Senate have to work together and come up with a final version that both houses agree. This, as they say, would take place before the Union Address.
What does it really mean to me? Well certinaly there is no benefit to undocumented at the moment, but there are policies that we can try to get around with and get benefit. However, we don't know the detail because (1) the final version hasn't come down yet, (2) immigration is still waiting there.

When these two are complete, you will know what this health bill mean to the undocumented.

To me,there is a much larger meaning behind the healthcare vote than anything else.It means the President still has a working Congressional majority on controversial legislation, which CIR will be.A past article placed CIR @ 50-50 chance should health-care legislation pass, which it hasn't yet but close enough.

Forgot to mention Merry Christmas.
