University of Washington president Mark Emmert says he supports allowing illegal immigrant students to attend college as a pathway to permanent residency and U.S. citizenship.
Quote:
The Dream Act legislation has stalled in Congress recently. But advocates say it is expected to be a key component in the comprehensive immigration bill lawmakers in Congress want to consider.
Since its such a key component, I don't see why it can't pass on its own....

More hate comments... and they bring up such invalid points, too... sigh...
I don't even have the strength to be mad or argue back anymore. It's useless with those hard headed selfish people.

EDIT: On another note, it would be nice if they could modify the DREAM Act to suit everyone's liking and vote on it independently. You think it would have better chances of passing than joined with CIR?

Theres never a time there wont be hate comments, in addition to their invalidity.
All we can do is hope, pray, and act on these co-sponsors we have now. CIR is still jumping up and down in the back of the line waiting to be noticed.
Keep calling and faxing your local senators. And even out of state ones too.
