i got into Queens College and am upcoming freshman in fall 2010.
And i have lived in NY for 5 years and gradated from a NY high school.

Before coming to this forum, i didn't know i can pay in state tuition. (my current bill is out of state tuition)

so, what should i do in order to change my bill?
is the process difficult?

basically show up at the financial aid office, and tell them your situation. They will then provide 2 forms. fill them out and thats it until next year.

should i go undergraduate admissions office before that? or just straight to financial aid office?

and we have to keep filling out forms annually?

Hi Kiki, I am also from QC, graduated in 2005. I was just there this past monday to order transcripts for my Graduate school.

Anyway, when I had my I-485 application pending, I was still on F-1 student visa and paying double-triple tuition. So I went to the office (can't quite remember whether it was Financial Aid or Registrar) with my case letter from INS and they switched my tuition to in-state. Don't think they have asked me to furnish the info on annual basis.

if you graduate from a NYC HS, you should NOT have to do anything as it should be automatic...all you need is an ID number if you do not have an SS in which case you need to talk to someone.

I went to QC too and had the same problem. I showed up to the undergrad office and informed them that I had graduated from a NY high school. They asked to see my diploma, made a copy and handed me two forms(i think) one of which I had to get notarized and bring back. Afterwards, they made the switch to in-state. You shouldn't have much of a problem.
