Sen. Bob Menendez was on "Al Punto" on the spanish television network Univision and said 97-98% of Democrats will vote in favor of the DREAM Act and all we need is 4-5 Republicans to side with us.

Let's not give up! We need to gain momentum and keep calling more and more each day.

I hope Sen. Reid had the votes before he announced he planned to attach the DREAM Act. Then again, he did say he wouldn't bring it up if he didn't have the votes.

If it doesn't pass then we will see his true motive.

he didn't need to have the votes. he most likely didn't know how many votes he had. even if he fails to pass dream he can say ohh latinos and hispanics well shit I tried so you know vote for us anyways so that we will have a better chance of passing it in the next year or two. but 97-98% of democrats voting for dream is probably right.

He could easily made a phone call to his colleague to find out their position.

I could definitely tell you which Democrat opposes Dream Act. That one opposing democrat will be Ben Nelson (NE).
