OK, this is a response from Senator Mark Pryor- Arkansas

December 3, 2010

Dear Mr. *******,

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act. I appreciate hearing from you.

Senator Richard Durbin introduced the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act, S.729, on March 26, 2009. This bill would amend the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 to permit States to determine State residency requirements for higher education purposes and to authorize the cancellation of removal and adjustment of status of certain alien students who are long-term United States residents and who entered the United States as children. After introduction, this bill was referred to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. While I understand the plight of students brought here involuntarily by their parents, I have serious concerns about this proposal because I believe it pits citizens and undocumented students against one another in competing for a small pot of available higher education funding, including student loans and work-study programs. By not authorizing additional funds for such programs, this legislation means fewer American citizens would receive tuition assistance and they would be denied access to a higher education as a result. This policy would be unfair to students, their parents and Americans who attained citizenship through legal channels.
Again, thank you for contacting me. I value your input. Please do not hesitate to contact me or my office regarding this or any other matter of concern to you.

Sincerely,

Mark Pryor
United States Senate

The latest bill specifically says no Federal funding whatsoever. I called his office and a rep said the senator is now aware of the new language in the bill.. I emailed him again

CALL HIM THE **** up. Light his mailbox on Fire. Spam his phonelines. LET HIM KNOW we arent gttign funding.. guys this is it.. PUSH PUSH PUSH.

EDIT: When you call, MAKE SURE you tell him that his concerns are addressed and there is NO federal funding for DREAMIES. Just saying " My name is XYZ and I want you to support the Dream Act" isnt enough

Thanks for posting this, as more good news today, due to the troll that was in our good forum, I am pleased to inform per a telecom with Senator Lugar Staff, that LUGAR CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE D.A. That means, the troll was just full of it. C'mon guys call this up, and speak to their staffers, its easy once you just talk to them, instead of just saying "support D.A.",,,,Go!!!

Is Pryor's office asking for zip codes like some of the other offices?

Be ready regardless, zip code and city, we can't waste our good resources, because phone calls with zip codes and cities, I would think carry more weight, good luck out there, am also been calling.
