I know lots of undocumented youth come from Mexican families but what would happen if some of them wanted to go back?

Wouldnt they have better opportunities than their parents? I mean there are beautiful places don't you think? Like tourists places. I heard that you even work at a 5 star hotel and get your own room? And why is there people in Mexico if it's like bad?

Most people on here have never been to Mexico or are to young to remember. They go by want they hear from the antis or FAUX News. You can live comfortably if you have money, most Americans go there and retire . Discrimination, corruption, and lack of opportunity in Mexico is why people leave.

If you have an American degree, you will have many great opportunities in Mexico. It'll be a culture shock, but soon, you'll be able to adjust. Wages will be way lower than in the US, but in Mexico you can live an ok life without so much money. Still, right now with the Drug war, some places are extremely dangerous, you'd pretty much be going in a battlefield.

lols. Fox speaks through you.

It's shitty in some places. It's true that if you have an american degree you're better off.. slightly. The places to avoid due to drugs are mostly border / rural places. DF is fucked up too but it's the same w. any city. As long as you're not a bum you should be fine

Its shitty in Juarez (and most of chihuahua), so in tijuana, tabasco, tamaulipas, and all the little villages and the slums of the major cities. DF is actually doing good, so is monterrey and guadalajara.

Well I say consider going to tourist places for $$$. Also, I rarely see people from Monterrey, or Cancun in the US. States that are really dangerous right now are...Chihuahua, Baja California, Sinaloa, Michoacan, DF, Nuevo Laredo, and Guadalajara in Jalisco.

In most major cities (except the border cities, culiacan, tampico, and a few others) as long as you don't mess with the cartels, nothing will happen. you might get assaulted or you car stolen, but for the most part, stay on the DL and you should be fine.

does anyone know how to join these cartels or are you mostly born into them? I assume it's a hierarchy of family, politicians, business associates and then the rest... le sigh
