I am sure i am not the only one looking for loopholes or constantly browsing the web to find some kind of an update in CIR.

So i came across this article:

Activist Ruling By 9th Circuit Means More Deportation Delay

"A federal appeals court's decision to delay the deportation of seven illegal immigrants until the Obama administration re-evaluates their cases could encourage thousands of other illegal immigrants to seek similar rulings and could open the door to uncomfortable questions about the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S, experts said," Fox News writes.

"Daniel Kowalski, an immigration lawyer in Austin, Texas, said the ruling from the San Francisco-based court will likely lead to a surge of appeals by immigrants who believe they fit the criteria for discretion."

So here is the dilemma...i didn't receive a deportation, but growing tired of living like this...If eventually i am planning on leaving the country (in 3-4 months)... i am planning on doing something stupid and trying this...but afraid they will stick me in jail and forget about me lol.

I know stupid...but i was thinking out loud...grrr

Wait until after the Presidential Election is over. If Obama wins, he won't have anything to lose by implementing an executive order (along the lines of what Roxana Bacon memo suggested). He doesn't have to worry about a third term. Obama has a good chance of winning a second term. But the chances of another democratic super majority in 2012 is bleak at best.

A post election Executive Order is the best possible scenario. Perhaps the only possible scenario for this decade.

If President Obama get's reelected, there will be a vote on some kind of legislation to help us in the first 6 months of 2013. Whether or not it will pass, who knows. But I believe without a doubt there will be a whole lot of action DREAM ACT/ immigration wise in 2013 if he get's other term.

If republicans still control the house, no congressional legislation related to CIR will pass. Obama can legally order an EO.

If EO is to happen it wouldn't be until his midterm or last year in office.

Honestly I really doubt Obama will enact an EO 6 months into his second term. I see the Democrats gaining a super majority in both chambers in the midterm elections in 2014. Many republican senators will be up for re-election and I think most will lose to a Democratic candidate, then that's when they will push heavily for CIR

I mean no disrespect to you, but if Democrats plan to wait to push for CIR until after 2014 based on a created idea that they will have a super majority by then, they deserve to get kicked in the nuts--every single one of them--because no one can guarantee anything about the future makeup of Congress. And most importantly, our damn LIVES ARE ON THE LINE while Democrats are waiting for the Kodak moment to push for CIR or any type of relief.

I don't get why a good number of people here are so relaxed and complacent at the fact that we have NO STATUS, and instead, some people here keep making up EXCUSES for the Democrats and Obama as to why NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL has been done to help any of us DESPITE the fact that we (1) Are a small EDUCATED group with skills that the US needs, (2) We are already accustomed to the American way of life, and we understand it as well, (3) We have family here, some if not all are LEGAL residents, and (4) Most importantly, WERE BROUGHT HERE AS CHILDREN. Heck, a third world country that is struggling to get on its feet would HAVE MERCY on us before the US ever will.
