WOW.

a 38 year old getting with and having a child with a 14 year old? that alone should be enough to not give custody of the child to the pedophile.

Correction, a pedophile is someone who is attracted to boys or girls before they hit puberty. In this case that makes him an "ephebophile" which are people who are attracted to children in puberty stages, so that's around 14 to 19.

The guy has a no history of raping little children because the sex with the 14 year old was declared consensual. This qualifies as "statutory rape" which is a misleading name because it's not really rape at all. And the guy has no recorded history of committing incest while the grandmother has a history of child neglect, this was also around the time her daughter got pregnant with the child. Are you going to put a small child with a woman that has history of sucking at raising kids versus the biological father of the child who has committed a sex crime which has no relevance to this case but has NO bad history of raising children?

It annoys me when people put sex offenders into a single pool when there's clearly a difference.

Ephebophile is just a dumb word, there shouldn't be some kind of classification for people attracted to slightly-under-18 year olds when the age of consent is 15 in most countries. I think the dad deserves that child
