Advice on getting to NY

Alright so I need to get from Southern California to New York because I have a very good job waiting for me. My choices are flying (from LAX, Santa Ana john wayne airport or Long beach), driving (someone with a license would take my car all the way there, 1996 honda accord) or bus/train (I've read enough that this is almost not even an option).

There obviously are pros and cons such as price 300.00 for a plane ticket compared to umm... 500.00 just in gas (rough estimate) and not counting meals, hotels etc.

My car is good, but I am afraid it might break down due to the stress and it is registered under my and dad's name. He has DUIs and I have a couple of no license tickets. As soon as the license plate it is scanned, we come up under the computer. So I think it'd be easier for a cop to stop us.

I have also asked around and people have taken off these airports with just the unstamped passport. Let me hear your thoughts. Also please for those who are against flying or against driving can you give example or details as to why?

I will get there, I just need to figure out how.

just fly bro, stay away from southern states and specially az.

Fly, I don't think it's worth the stress to drive that far when you can get everything done in a few hours. haha
