What are your thoughts about having a call-in week, calling the major senators, asking them to bring up the Dream Act for a vote before the Christmas vacation. I know there has been some speculation about it, but if a lot of us call and ask for it,
This will also serve the purpose to show that we are still alive, have our voices heard, and show that we are not giving up and we are fighting til the end.

Good, noble effort. But, we have a very narrow time frame. Do we not?

Yeah. not much time, but i think we can still make it happen. Even if they dont, our voice will still be heard
yeah just call/email ask them to bring it up for a vote b4 xmas break

there was talk before of them doing it, so maybe with enough pressure, they will.

I think it's worth the try, and I will do it if we agree on this as a plan....but I honestly think they will shut us down by saying that we always try and rush it in last minute, then feed us some bull shit that they will work on it starting next year.

Oh what the hec. Let's give it a try. If the DA is blocked in the Senate, oh well. I think a vote on the DA will help make immigration reform more of a hot issue in the 2012 election.

Yes. We cant let this issue die. This will show them we are still here and we aren't sitting back and waiting. This is another chance to show that the DREAM is dead. AT least our expectations wont be as high, so if it gets blocked, at least we put up a fight again.
