How do I check my immigration record? I claimed to be a USC, but one acquaintance said that she also claimed citizenship but it did not appear on her record. Does anyone know where I could check it this is actually there?

You could send a request to get a FOIA we often get clients to do this when they are unsure of things in their immigration record.

You file Form G-639 with the required information as linked by txgirl to the appropriate agency or hire a lawyer !

Well we dont usually fill this out for clients but other attorneys might( you dont really need an attorney you can do it on your own) here is the application for the request

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/g-639.pdf

It takes up to 6 months for them to respond back and they will send you a CD with all your information on there it will show from date of entry for those who are overstayed to
anything immigration related often people going thru the waiver process get this and the fbi fingerprints done.

Its safe and secure theyre only responding to your request.

Yeah its a very long process, USCIS received my request back in April of 2011, and this was done with the help of an attorney and still awaiting results. Luckily, our request is almost current so I should find out whether my parents really did file paperwork for me back when I was a kid. This is my last chance at staying here before finding another alternative, I m also sick and tired of waiting around. T.T
