For those who applied for DACA with an Attorney, please state how much you were charged, which state you are from & your case status: Approved / Denied / TBA / RFE, etc. I feel like my sister's and I were overcharged and I'm curious to know if this is within the normal range for fees. This will be helpful not only to see what the average charges are but also for those future applicants that are considering to file with an Attorney. Any other information that is related to this topic are welcomed. Thank you!

Fee:$1,500.00

State:NY

Case Status:Biometrics Completed 9/28/12. I-821D and I-765: Approved: 11/12

Wow. You must be loaded. Almost 2k for each one. Yikes. You should've ( not should of ) done yourself and saved that money. I did it myself. And was approved rather fast.

Definitely over charged. 1500+ filing fee each is way too much. I was charged 500+ filing, so I spend around 1 k.

Lawyer $150 + the 465 that included the two pictures. My family has gone to them for their immigration paper work and they have done a good job so far. I'm waiting for my biometric appointment. Los Angeles, CA

I found about a DACA clinic at Asian Pacific American Legal Center in L.A.
Two of the organization lawyers put my case together, and one of them officially represents me. Their services cost me $0.

I only paid $465 for the application plus some expenses for making copies of evidence and driving from home to downtown a few times.

The non-profit i volunteer with in TX is charging $300. They are BIA accredited, not attorneys though.
They have also hosted workshops and for a donation of $50 they complete and review the forms for you to mail off yourself.

Paid $1,500 as well but that includes the filing fee. The lawyer we used is a family lawyer that is familiar with our case, got my mom and my bro their green card and filed my i-485(still waiting). She's legitimate. I personally thought i could do it myself but my mother wanted to go with her just in case. In sensitive situations like this, it's better to be safe than sorry. Haven't received my approval yet but it does let you sleep a bit easier at night knowing someone accredited and familiar with you helped prepare. Besides, $1500 is nothing for a work permit and DL in my opinion if you have it or in my case, your fam has it and can help you out. Getting it was definitely a collective effort. Probably wouldn't have paid anymore than that though lol. Oh and I live in Ga.
