was anybody hired at Ross, the clothing store? do they do e-verify? I know they said they do, but did somebody have the experience?

If they say they do I'd find it really surprising if they didn't, considering it is a very simple process where once you get approved for the free online service, you can check any potential employee almost instantly.

A major chain clothing store like ROSS would most likely have e-verify.....especially since they said they do....and someone who does not have a valid SSN would probably have a hard time getting hired.

My friend works at Red Robin where they have a sign saying they use E'Verify but all the cooks are undocumented. In red Robin´s case I think its just so they can appeal to the ´patriotic.

The thing is, I was hired and I'm afraid I will have to turn them down after all. It's not a big thing a part time but I'm so sick of this.....

My mom worked for the company. The company uses e-verify. She was laid off when the company began to use it.

I would recommend that you look for another job. That company treats people like shit. It tries to save money by scheduling few workers for every shift yet demands superb customer service. My mom was front-end supervisor and handled the cash office. DON'T EVEN WORK THERE. IT IS FUCKEN HELL.
