birth certificate?

is birth certificate required for only EWI or do overstayers need to bring it too?

On my visa, it shows my birth date so i don't understand why people are talking about birth certificate....

I believe this question ha been addressed before but I will explain again, some people lack passport in those cases they will need to show their birth certificate with a translation. If you are luck and have a valid passport you do not need this.

Any time you apply for anything thru USCIS you will need to identify yourself one way or another and we do this by passport and or birth certificate
