I understand that some of you may be looking towards lawyers, organizations, and paralegals for advice with your application, and that's perfectly understandable.

I just want to remind everyone to take everything with a grain of salt. I went to a paralegal the other day (a pretty well known one) and was told that I am not eligible for DACA because I'm still in high school and don't have a GED/diploma. I was then told an option was to get a GED so I can apply. This was very misleading because I knew that those in high school qualified under the language.

So if you do get any help, please go there informed and make sure that their information is correct. If I didn't know any better, I would have possibly missed out on this opportunity.

Wow! How irresponsible of him/her to tell you that! Having a HS Diploma, a GED, or currently attending school have been three main requisites from day 1!

It is very important that we educate ourselves, very well, first, about this process.

Top stuff by Nick. What an achievement to have created a forum like this which has proven to be a leading source of information for the immigrant community. Class act.

Nick did an EXCELLENT job starting this website, it's so helpful. With me being the only Undocumented person in my family, until I encountered this website, I didn't even know that there were people my age (or even in my state) that were in the same circumstance (being Undocumented).

So I have this idea to create a live chat with dreamers on the 15th. I was planning on using a page that can allow us to login without making accounts or anything. This will be used as a reference only tool and everyone here will be welcome to come. What do you guys think?
