Waiting for your Biometrics Appointment?

Hi guys.... all i have to say at this moment so far it's.....

You gotta be on top of everything, no matter what other people says about been patience.

I send my application on 8/18 and received ONE receipt on paper 8/27... within a couple of days, other friends were receiving TWO receipts, i was wondering where my other one went. They filled their applications like 8 days after me and were getting answers before me.
By the next or 2 days after, my friends were receiving their biometris appointment, and i would still not receive anything.

I was waiting patiently my Biometrics appointment, while everyone i knew where getting their appointments in no time.

2 weeks passes by and still nothing for me, but a friend that sent his application on 9/2 received his letters and appointment for 10/2.

I had enough and called, the "nice" guy said to me he couldn't transferred me to anyone to find out about if a letter was sent to me, or even if i had an appointment, told him i wanted to make sure i was not going to miss my appointment. He said you have to call 9/27 which are the 30 days once you've received your receipt, then they can transferred me.

Well i said ok and that's was it.

Thinking about that appointment and getting more nervous of knowing if i was going to get something or not. I called today 9/17. After i explained everything, even though it wasn't 30 days yet, they transferred me and the lady said........

" YOU HAVE YOUR APPOINTMENT WEDNESDAY 9/19 "
i'm like wait what this Wednesday, but i'm waiting for my letter, she said "it was sent to me 3 weeks ago....... TO THE WRONG ADDRESS... they type in the wrong number"

Please guys... i know everyone needs to be patience, but seen everyone getting it before you and you send it so many days before them, it makes you think.... so please be on top of everything, call and call and call as many times as you need to... it seems that they are sending the appt letter within the first 10 days since they received your application...


i'm so excited about wednesday but so sad and mad they made that huge mistake....


NEW:

I received a fax today with my Appointment Notice and on the top of the page it says

Notice Date: 8/29

So it was sent out 2 days after i received my I765 and i821d on paper (8/27)

wow thats crazy! Im glad you posted this. You are right. People who say "be patient" would lose it too if something went wrong with their app. This is a once in a life time opportunity. It clearly states on the letter that if you miss your application it will be considered abandoned. Im sure you could still try to get an issue like that fixed but it's better to catch the mistake on time. Good luck!

thanks for sharing! its true there has to be a reason why ppl are getting faster results before yours. im glad you caught it. its a tough world out there cant be nice anymore :/

My Brother got his package back, with a green letter saying he missed a signature, he send it back, and even though he lost like 10 days, he still got his Biometric Appointment. So something wasn't right, so glad i caught it and was persistent about it.

This is what happening to us too, me and my bro sent in the applications together and he got his bio appt letter last week scheduled on the 27th.

I am still waiting for mine and I got kinda worried so I called in today and they said the same thing that i have to wait 30 days.

where should i ask them to transfer to? and what's gonna happen if you do not have the bio appt letter when you go on that day?

What the f%^$!!!, omg I love you for posting this. I wonder if mine got lost on the mail as well. Im checking my mail box tonight and if its not there I'm harassing USCIS employees all day tomorrow. I really need to find out since i have to travel out of state for a week for work.
