So from over here it seems that there are a few of us who aren't exactly thrilled about Obama's administration. I am curious, is there anyone else here who is against Obama? Let me clarify to say that being against Obama does not mean one is for Romney. There are more options than simply between the blue idiot and the red idiot.

One can either:
1) Support Obama (Democrat)
2) Support Romney (Republican)
3) Support Johnson (Libertarian)
4) Support Stein (Green)
x) Support X candidate from another 3rd party or a Rep/Dem who didn't win the nomination
y) Support None

There are many reasons I believe one should be against Obama.

He is nowhere near the anti-war president he billed himself as in '08. He has not withdrawn from Afghanistan, in fact he's expanded the war there into northern Pakistan! He withdrew from Iraq, but only after negotiations broke down in trying to extend the agreement with the current Iraqi government to stay. The US military was kicked out! Even now they're working on a new agreement to re-deploy 'advisers' and other military personnel in Iraq. He involved us in the whole Libya scandal, and is trying to get us involved in several African nations as well in a proxy war against Chinese allies there. Iran continues to be demonized, and sanctions continued to be enforced against them.

He isn't a civil liberties president either. He was for same-sex marriage, then against it, neutral, 'evolving' and now for it again? He is as much as flip flopper as Mittens on this. He isn't in favor of polygamy, and polygamous communities in the US continue to be subject to federal raids. He hasn't done a thing to end the Drug War. He could easily issue an executive order to stop prosecution of those in possession of marijuana. Has he? No.

He's no good on healthcare. Obamacare is just a new form of corporate welfare. I am against any government provided healthcare, but even if I was for it, Obamacare wouldn't be how to do it. A single payer system would be more efficient in several respects than the mutant healthcare system now in place.

On immigration he's not clearly better than Romney. He spent how long dodging questions about it? When someone did manage to corner him, he tended to say that was something only Congress could do. Yet here comes DACA - he couldn't have done this earlier? How many DREAMers have been deported because he procrastinated till now? DACA is better than nothing, but it doesn't make up for the procrastination or the unwillingness to push the Dream Act through Congress. He was capable to pushing Obamacare down the throat of a hesitant Congress, but draws the line on the Dream Act? Pft. On top of that all he has over seen more deportations than two terms of Bush Jr.

"Supporting" is different than a vote in this sense. I have quite a few Republican friends who will be voting for Obama come Nov 6. They don't support him, but they sure as hell like him a lot more than the faux Republican Romney.

Would you be a better President?

For me it's whoever is on my side (regardless of party), right now it's Obama. How can we support a guy who wanted us to self deport. We have no better choice at this moment and it's very clear.

Speaking on immigration only, you have to realize Obama is constantly working towards a Bi-partisan approach to immigration because the democratic party alone was unable to pass even when they had a majority in congress. In order to appease repubs he HAD to become more strict on immigration. Even then repubs wont play in the immigration issue because they have too much bad karma with us. Its not as clear cut as it seems basically. If those approved by DACA fuk up then its going to be on him. If some terrorist somehow get through and blows up some building its on him. Taking the DACA initiative took a huge amount of balls
because its a grey area issue.

Think politically, and you'll realize it doesn't matter whether or not you like Obama. All that matters is that he's all you've got. You don't have to like it, but that's how it is. Still, you have ways to influence policies. Keep that in mind in case you're annoyed over Obama getting reelected.

If you are against OBama, or are a republican you are an idiot.
Not because we are illegals but bc the democratic party is the BETTER party.
Republicans are running corporate tyranny in this country and half the $&*# that comes out of their mouths make no sense.

To be honest, I don't like Obama or Romney. But for our situation, I need Obama to win. While I agree with Obama on some things, I don't like some of his other actions/policies. Our debt is increasing like hell and all the budgets he proposed were all way about a trillion! (or was it more?) He talks about increased government spending to create jobs - way to go! Keep increasing our fkin debt! He's spent approximately $280,000 to create ONE job (multiply that for all the one he states to have created) I guess that's not entirely his own fault, but it certainly is bad management of money. I somewhat agree with Romney on giving businesses/people in general more freedom (thus creating more of a free market) and cutting back on regulations and agencies (thus reducing gov. spending and debt). It's all about equality (Obama) vs freedom (Romney). Well too much equality creates a class of lazy people living on unemployment checks like you have today (basically being payed to live by the taxes paid by the people who get off their @ss and work). I generally am very moderate (stuck between Dems and Repubs, the left and the right). By the way, I purely dislike Romney. I could talk a lot about other issues, but I really should get back to my English homework .

WOW. This is BS
If you REALLY want FREEDOM, please go live on an island by yourself and do whatever you want.
Without Obama's bailout plans, the manufacturing, auto industries would have died and its with HIS help that the economy got back on the right track. DO some research before making assumptions.
YES. NO MORE REGULATIONS.
UNLIMITED money to political campaigns, UNLIMITED pollution, UNLIMITED freedom. Life would be beautiful.
