First your Social Security Number, then your license.

Uh, I'm not sure myself. I mean, I just sent out my deferred action application last week. But I believe you need to take your EAD (which is the card you got in the mail), and your birth certificate or passport. I'm not sure, so check the Social Security Administration's website. Then, when you get your card, go to the DMV and show them your EAD and Social security card.

Take your EAD and passport to SSA that's all. As to the DL take your EAD and your SSN card once it arrives in the mail. Check my timeline.

This is what I did first but then I had to travel back home just to get my birth certificate.

With this being said, take your passport, EAD and birth certificate.
