So for the past few weeks I lost count on how many job applications I've put in, unfortunately I think it's because of my lack of experience (have none). I'm starting to get a tad bit discouraged, and I had a friend tell me to call after I had submitted the applications telling me it's a good look... but I've had other people say it's not a good idea since I might seem annoying to the company. Just wanted to see some input from the forum, thanks!

I think as long as the job description does not specifically say not to call, I don't think it will hurt your chances. Just be courteous on the phone and don't keep calling every other day; call once to see if they have your resume, and again in a few weeks if there's no response to see if job has been filled.
