This isn't really news, bro. Its been well known that it takes 6 months minimum on average for DACA processing, plus there is a sticky in the lounge.

Yes there is a sticky in the lounge for DACA processing times but this is where you're wrong there was NO official timeframe for deferred action for childhood arrivals every time someone would call the national customer center they would tell them that there is "no official processing time" and that the decisions are made by the officer on case-by-case basis that meaning they are not rushed to make a decision with in 6 months because there wasn't a timeframe so they could have waited 1-2 years just to make a decision on a case under I-821D so now that there is an official processing time by law now people who are over the six months of waiting can actually ask for expedite or do a serivce request about their cases being delayed.

P.s. if you already knew then dont know why you even replied to this message this is for other people who don't know about the official timeframe there are always new members joining this forum.

Well to be fair there was no I-821D before there, so people instead tried to extrapolate using the "all other categories" for I-765.

I emailed Ombudsman about this and this is what they asnwered:

USCIS has indicated that it is processing DACA cases received on or before 31August2012.

While we understand your concern, our review indicates that your case is within normal processing times as provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on its website. You may monitor processing times on the USCIS website at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do. Because your case is within normal processing times, our office will be closing this matter.
