Hey Dreamers,
I am currently waiting to be approve for DACA and for a U-Visa. I ended up applying to a private not-for-profit accredited institution (Alliant International University) to earn my doctor in Psychology degree (PsyD). I was admitted and recently sent my $600 deposit (thinking that I was going to be able to find a co-signer and take out loans). Well, I was not able to find a co-signer and now I am considering to withdraw my offer.
Scholarships for grad students are rare, specially for undocumented students.
The new immigration bill won't allow us to obtain Federal Financial Aid and I am afraid that I might have to wait 5 more years to go back to school. I find my situation to be frustrating (it feels like it is one thing after another).
I haven't taken the GREs and that is one of the reasons why I did not apply to public school, and also because I feel that my undergrad GPA is not as strong (3.3) as other candidates.
If I do take another year off, I plan to study and take the GREs and get more experience in the field of Psychology and apply again on November (but this time to funded PhD programs)
Is anyone else in my situation? any advise? anyone studying for the GRE?

Thanks!

Even though it might not be going perfect, you're still a step behind a PhD. Come on bro, that's awesome. Representing us in a big way.
