Just wanted to share this with my fellow dreamers I went through a very humbling experience today

A very close family friend finally got her green card and got on a plane today to visit home after being undocumented for 25 years, was an extremely touching moment because she had both of her parents and countless family members pass away while she was here undocumented, it's just incredible I cant imagine the joy she must be feeling after waiting 25 years and finally getting on a plane to go see your country of birth.

Let's all keep CIR in our prayers so those of us who have parents that haven't been back home in decades can finaly go back, it was truly a beautiful thing seeing her as happy as she was

Our day will come soon guys <3

That's amazing!

I can't wait to visit my home country, England. Man, it's shitty that we can't go back to our place of birth.

My father's family has forsaken him, so fuck em...

...that being said, so happy for your family friend Happyman...and so happy for everyone else who has adjusted or will adjust in the future. It is such an amazing feeling.

Wish everyone could of seen the look on her face.. I have never in my life seen anyone glow with joy.. That was undoubtedly TRUE happiness right there, I have seen it and god damn it's not easy to come by.. I hope we can all have that look soon especially our parents

Oh we shall!

My father is going to be jumping for joy!! His old age is wearing him down, but he plans on pushing through a bit longer working, and legal status will help his work experience greatly! Can't wait, hope CIR passes soon so we can get this first trigger counting down so we can start applying.

Kinda nervous about what the final bill will end up looking like,

I give it 2 years before this family friend starts looking down on other illegals and voting Republican to get lower taxes

Awesome!
I really hope that CIR passed. Just like your friend, I didn't get to see my grandma(who raised me for 12 years) until her very end. And I wanna see my childhood sweetheart </3
