Is it 6 months before or after biometrics

So does any one really know if the 6 month wait start when they receive your application, or after you do your biometrics. and is it 6 months on working day calculators, or just in general.

The 6 months range is not a accurate timeline. A lot of people waited as short as 3 months and as long as 10 months. It's really just luck.

Back when I applied, my 3 month wait was considered very long... I remember people getting approved 2 weeks after biometrics.. So 6 months isn't really a set frame it can legitimately be "whenever" and they don't start looking at your case or considering it till after biometrics

Technically your wait starts when they receive your application, but the whole six month waiting time is just in average and just to put something in their website. I do think that it is a bit stupid that for a two-year permit you have to wait six months, but it is what it is.
