I used to not like no banda or corridos when I was younger but I REALLY love it now! especially when I'm drinking. But Ever since I started listening to Espinoza Paz, Valentin elizalde, Intocable, and others I'm hooked! So much better than other music. Now Corridos are the "hip" thing in Mexico, especially narco corridos. Omg this music is so freaking awesome! I'm talking all my friends is all they listen to. Hell we even party we white and black people blasting this music and they say they like it even though they dont know what it says.

I ask my cousins in Mexico how famous it is over there and he says its all over the place. Regueton is dying over there (good), rap is going down too. El Komander is my favorite singer at the moment followed by Espinoza paz and Valentin Elizalde (rip).

Now I know some of my Mexican peeps here might like these genre of Mexican music, name your artists that you like.

I personally don't like the music. I wouldn't even call it music, but rather noise.

I used to hate Mexican music as well when I was younger, but I rather enjoy it now. I don't have any favorites, but I'll switch my radio to 102.9FM (Houston) while I'm driving sometimes. Most of the time I'm listening to rock music on 94.5, or whatever I have on my CD case.

On other news, the word "shit" is okay to say on television. The word "republican" has been added to the curse words list.

"especially narco corridos. Omg this music is so freaking awesome"

the music may be awsome to everything that they say etc. but personally , ehh im against this type of music , especially the "narco corridos" , if the younger generations in mexico are listening to this and thinking this is cool to do a cool thing to be , guns drugs etc. , its a huge no - no for me , its called bad influence , these kids cant grow up trying imitate these singers , because its all they are , they are only singers , singing about things that they dont do , and of course bringing out the wrong message , thank god , they are being penalized for singing these "narco-corridos" in some places , i think it has to stop everywhere in mexico , in order to mexico to finish with these "narcos" . and their drug problem . good music , bad influence , i dont support it .

You must not support rap then. Just because I like it doesn't mean I'm going to do what narcos do. Just because I like killing people in a videogame doesn't me I'm going to do it in real life. Is just music. Only the weak minded will fall.

You must think that rock, rap and heavy metal is just noise too? I love rock and heavy metal but I love banda and corridors more. Much better music

Fair enough, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I know they are banning narco corridos in Mexico and a lot of them come to the US to record their music. I know Komander comes to the US to record his music. He's a good guy. He had a contest to win a trip to his rancho in Sinaloa.
