can the I-821d be approved and not I-765

Does anyone know about, people who has been approved for I-821D but not the work permit? Do you know what the reason might be that this can happen?? Can it really be depending on ur income?? This is for my brother who innitialy applyied and read through something about this. Thanks in advance

Technically yes, however so far is has never happened to have a I-821D approval and I-765 denial. There were a few cases where I-821D was approved and I-765 took a while longer, but never a denial.

Most likely not. You would probably only get RFE in case of a mistake but 821D means your case has been deferred hence making you eligible to work in the United States of America.

There is like no point in giving you EAD without a work permit. So since they are trying to help us and enable us to contribute, they give both together.

An EAD is a fancy word for a work permit my brah You mean to say there's no point in deferring one's case under 821D without granting that person an EAD (Work Permit) in which case you are absolutely correct
