I got into Law School and I'm well aware that I don't qualify for federal aid of any kind. However, one of the schools I got into is offering $ after reviewing my need access application but they want me to fill out FAFSA to verify my financial situation. I filled the forms marked non citizen and submitted. I then got an email asking me to log into the website because there was a mistake on my application. I chatted with a costumer service rep and she said that DACA students couldn't file for FAFSA even if it was to confirm that I didn't qualify.
I'm very confused. Any of you here filled FAFSA online and succeed?

You can file FAFSA, you'll just get denied (file it as a non-eligible non-citizen, for the love of whatever NEVER EVER claim to be a US citizen if you're not one). Colleges generally tell you to file it so they can determine your eligibility for aid. You can tell the rep that. "Yeah I know I'm ineligible, just my college wants this for my financial situation".

I tried as a non eligible non citizen and it didn't work. I talked to a few representatives and explained that I knew I wasn't eligible but my school needed a EFC. They said I won't get one because the application won't process. I emailed the school yesterday and I'm waiting to hear back. Thank you!!
