I-765 Current Immigration Status

On the I-765 form it ask current immigration status. Would it be DACA? when I applied my attorney put visitor.

On the instructions of the I-765 which should be read before filling out the form, you should write UNLAWFUL STATUS: DACA BY ICE.

How much you paid to your lawyer for him not to write the correct answer? But at the end it didn't matter because you were approved.

That was for the initial application. Currently we are (TPS) Temporary Protected Status. We are no longer "Unlawful"

Not much. I believe that was the status when I enter the country with a border crossing card.

May I ask where do you get "Temporary Protected Status: DACA" from?

Was your DACA granted by ICE? No so why would you put that. If you read the directions you can tell it's meant for applicants who were granted DACA by ICE and does not apply. Plus, the same wording was used in the original forms back in 2012.

OP, write DACA by USCIS or Unlawful Status: DACA.

I am sorry but I do not understand your explanation. Can you be more clearer? In the first applications we did write UNLAWFUL STATUS...... why can we not do it again? Our DACA is expiring there fore we need to request DACA again.

I didn't write unlawful status in my first application. Instead, I put down B2 Visa Overstay. Plus, even with DACA (expiring or not) it does not grant us lawful status.

Many on here put Unlawful Status: DACA, DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, etc. I highly doubt it matters.
