No atleast what my lawyer was telling me, you need to either be enrolled in "High school" or have high school diploma in hand or have GED diploma in hand as well when submitting the application for DACA, they won't accept that you are enrolled in GED course, you would need to pass class for GED and have GED Diploma in hand when submitting DACA form or they will send you an RFE telling you that it was insufficient evidence of education.

Oh okay thank you.. I guess I'm gonna have to just take the GED right away instead of taking prep classes....

This is not true. As long as you are enrolled in a GED class that either receives public funding (or is based through an organization/college that is accredited or receives public funds), you satisfy the education requirement.

You need a letter of enrollment that has certain information. Check out the instructions for I-821D, starting at the bottom of page 8. This is the reason why people get the insufficient letter RFE because it lacks the right information. The classes needs to be publicly funded or accredited. It can be a rinky dink class.

I've seen people approved with this letter of enrollment for GED and ESL classes.

Really? The prep class I was looking into is in a community college (Lone star college to be exact), so I know they're accredited so I guess I should be fine taking the classes there right.
