Hello all,

My DACA case was recently approved this last month February 2016.
I had already gotten a license here in CA through the AB60 law that passed. I got that license January, 2015.
The expiration date on my AB60 license is on June , 2019

My EAD will expire February, 2018. I hear that the Regular license would expire the same day as my EAD.

Basically the AB60 license I have would be valid a year and four months longer than the regular one I can now get.

My question is, should I stay with the license that lasts longer. Or should I go to the DMV and apply for the regular one?
Has anyone gone through this process?

This gives me something to think about, as my DL will expire in a little over 150 days.

I was planing on renewing under DACA, but if the AB60 expires later and doesn't look any different (different marks noting it as a non regular DL), then this is a route I might consider taking. Keep us updated with what you do and how things go.

Good luck!
