I'm planning on applying for AP soon but I realized I don't have form I-797, the approval notice. In fact, as I recall, I don't remember getting it in the mail. I received I-797 approval notice the first time I was accepted for DACA, but I never got the same document for the second time. I got my EAD in the mail, but never the approval notice. I consider myself fairly organized when it comes to important documents, but I'm certain I never received it.

Am I going to need to file for I-824 for a replacement approval notice or is my EAD enough? If so, how long do you think it's going to receive another approval notice.

Also, has anyone applied for AP without the approval notice and just included a copy of EAD? I would like to know if that might work.

Well, yes, but I looked at the process for filing for AP and DACA approval notice is needed to file for AP. I even googled this and found another place where it says I need the approval notice.

You reckon it's possible to be approved without the approval notice? I can include my EAD copy but I'm not sure its enough. I don't want to file for AP, then wait a month and get rejected or RFE for not including approval notice.

I had same situation. my lawyer said to send a copy of the EAD and she also printed out the online receipt thing that they sent the approval notice. I had no issues and AP was granted in about a month.

I got approved as well. Question, did you travel without the DACA approval notice? If so, did you have any problems re-entering? I'm not sure if that approval notice is absolutely necessary or not for the CBP.

Yep. Traveled without approval notice. Just traveled with EAD, passport and AP document. No issues at airport just had to wait for like 15 mins while they verified them I guess.
