This is all very interesting. Something to keep an eye on.

Why would Mexico do this and legitimize Trump? Nothing good can come of this unless they are setting up some sort of Trap for him and arrest him or something under some little known Mexican law.

He can't top the moron who lost 1/3rd of the country. No president can top that unless they lose more than that. I would've flooded the top portion of the country with Mexicans and encouraged them to reproduce, even if the middle parts end up losing people. I guess everything is fine now, mexicans are becoming a large group in some places 30-50-60% of the population. If anything the southwest is becoming more mexican as time goes on.
