Hello everyone,

Did not see a thread related to traveling on Advanced Parole with DACA now that Trump is in office. Dreamers please share your experience if you are traveling despite Trump in office. I am still waiting for my Advanced Parole to be approved since November 2016

Personally, I would postpone any application or travel on AP until summer, when we know for sure whether Trump will touch DACA or leave it alone.

However, if you already put in the app and want to travel before April/May I would say it's worth the risk, especially if it will clear an illegal entry.

Please don't encourage others. If you want to risk it, it is up to you. Don't drag others into uncertainty.

The uncertainty is going out of the country without knowing for sure what will happen with DACA. There is still no concrete answer.

This has no effect on the guarantees of AP for those trying to change from EWI to that of a legal entrant. Matter of ARRABALLY and YERRABELLY is what most applicants have been using to guarantee their re-entry into the United States. The problem is why would CBP allow someone to re-enter if they have no legal presence(DEFERRED ACTION) to return to. It is why advocates warn about moving abroad.

In short and in theory, If DACA is repealed but individuals are still allowed to have their work permits, a person who is EWI may still become a legal entrant.
