Anybody else suspicious about Enlist Act?

It seems like letting dreamers serve in the military for quasi citizenship is all popular now because we are about to get in wars in Syria and North Korea...

lol no guarantees in the armed forces. Specially when a war is going on and we are the most expendable group.

That's not how it works. You're not segregated in your unit as "Dreamers" or anything along those lines, once you're in, you're in just like everyone else.

There are some MOS/specialties which are more at risk, Infantry, etc. but guess what - we don't even qualify for most of those being they require more in depth security clearance/citizenship.

More than likely you'd be doing a supporting role, admin work, logistic (I guess some risk here if in a convoy)

If you really think they're gonna line up all the immigrants in a front row of something, go read into how the military system works (it's not a kindergarten infrastructure)

Today's wars are nothing like WWII.

If not infantry grunt, extremely low chance of getting killed/wounded.

Even if killed, your family gets 400k, your kids scholarships etc

But that PTSD though. 20/day veterans kill themselves. No joke.
