Be careful at checkpoints

A Drivers license with "Federal Limits Apply " memo will get you deported at a driving checkpoint.
Happend yesterday to my friend. She was driving for lyft, at driving checkpoint she presented her undocumented drivers liscense and she was deported overnight. So even if you have a driving license be careful and don't intentionally go to checkpoints.

This sounds like one of those false immigration checkpoint claims that were going around right after inauguration.

I swear it's true. She got deported. I'm just trying to inform the community but from there I can't do more.

Was she a DACA recipient and was it near a border town?

I mean my Colorado driver's license said "not valid for federal identification" across it, but I don't think that equates to deportation at a checkpoint.

If she was under DACA then she was wrongfully deported and would have grounds for a lawsuit, but it would be an exception and not a rule.

probably not. It was probably some random person with no status. Goes into a border checkpoint and shows a DL that says not for Federal Limits. I believe it. That is what would happen. Why would this person do that in the first place? Those ID's are not green cards! It doesn't have to be a border town. They are within 100 miles of the border.
