They received my application Dec 12. Did my biometrics in February. Have not received anything. I know it is taking a little longer for first timers to get approved. Set. 5th is a few days away and I'm super nervous. To top it off , I'm from Texas, where the new SB4 law will go into effect this Friday. I'm trying to stay positive... But its really hard.

Yes, many people have been denied. I , myself, have an application pending there. I just got an RFE yesterday after contacting my congresswoman since they got it on 12.11.16!

But don't get scared on being denied you go thru like 2 RFEs to resolve any issue . If you applied it's most likely because you qualify with no issue .

What would some of the reasons be for denial? I am going through a lawyer and they said everything should be good. But I'm still a little worried.

Not my favorite service to be honest. Took close to a year to get approved back in 2012. Nebraska service center was much more nicer to me. Hopefully you have a more positive experience though, best of luck!

You sent it in.
Worrying about it now ain't gonna change anything.

As long as you don't have a felony or a serious misdemeanor you will be fine.
If you had a procedural error, they won't deny you outright. You'll be sent a RFE, and you can make corrections.

I applied first time on January but didn't get a response till last month which was an RFE due to an error in the application.
