Getting word that Border Patrol is "temporarily" detaining DACA recipients at Falfurrias checkpoints while they run prints & BKG check.

This is so fucked up. These border patrol and ICE agents are always trying to find a way to deport people.

Why does it take so long to verify DACA status? This is crazy.

UPDATE: They are citing tech issues caused delays.

Speaking from experience, some of the CBP agents aren't accurately informed or up to date.
They could have all been assuming DACA was no longer valid.
When I attempted to re-enter with advanced parole, FOUR agents huddled together and asked each other how it works or what to do with the AP documents.
One of them whispered to another that I was inadmissable because I had an EWI during initial entry.
Luckily, the fellow hispanic CBP called for her superior. He looked at the paperwork and gave the green light.

I've passed through this check point multiple times and have only been detained once. BP agent (white) didn't know what DACA and told me that it was illegally for me to pass a checkpoint and I could be detained. Told him that I've passed before and never had any problems and with DACA and EAD I could freely travel as stated by the President. Agent got upset and asked me if I thought he was stupid or telling him how to do his job. 15 minutes later after probably Googling he said it was ok and left me go. Agent tried to intimidate my sister but got upset that he was letting us go. These people are only trying to scare people and take advantage of who they can.
