Dreamers,

I've been depressed, anxious and suicidal lately. It's been really bad these past few months due to some stuff, but I've been dealing with these feelings for years. Both my mom and dad suffered from clinical depression so I guess it's in my genes.

How can a therapist help? I've never sought help for it. I feel like it's a waste of time.

Therapy works if you put in the work. Go ahead for it.

If I am depressed or something wrong, I have my own ways of relieving them such as Soccer, Running, Sex, and talking to other people.

Try going out. Scenery changes do help. Also, don't think deeply about stuff that makes you uncomfortable. Keep your mind occupied thinking other things. Activists, such sports, help. Best of all you have fun while at it.

First, good for you for seeking out help before it is too late. Anyways, therapist will help you because they can provide you medications to help correct the hormones imbalances that is causing your mind to have what it is having. Another thing is they provide psychotherapy. This process of a therapy can help you cope with feelings, problem solve and change behavior patterns that may be causing your symptoms.

I don't want to take meds that will lower my testosterone. Is medical marijuana an option? I've had some success in treating my anxiety with natural stuff.

What's a therapist gonna ask me?
