Hi,

Sorry if there is a thread for this already (couldn’t find it). So i expire March 2020 but i sent in my renewal 3 weeks ago and I have received my biometrics appointment for this upcoming Monday. I Assumed they would hold onto my renewal application until at least October when my 150 days from expiration would arrive.

Anyone who has experience sending their renewal app early...do they take your biometrics right away and then hold onto your approval until months later (in my case, October) or will they approve my renewal in a month or so like their regular timeline despite my current card expiring march 2020?

You’ll receive an early approval most likely despite your expiration is next year

You will lose a few months but who cares, better safe than sorry. Especially with this administration.

They will hold your app after the biometrics. They will approve you when you have like 150 days left of your DACA.

Interesting. You seem very confident about that. Did it happen to someone you know? How do you know that? In that case we should all just send in our applications so that we are guaranteed to get our EAD's renewed.

I have done that too, you get approved within about 3 to 4 months. At least I did, lost 8 months but whatever

The real info is that you’re going to get renewed much earlier and lose months. People here who renewed a year before have lost that year bud

Shit, I'd pay $500 every year if I had a guaranteed work permit.

I sent mine in 14 months early in fact -- I called them up a few weeks ago and asked them where it was and they said that it's too early for approval

I sent my renewal early because multiple people here kept saying they would hold onto the app and start processing first your exp date is 150 days from then.

A lot of fake news circulating here unfortunately
