The New York State Senate is voting on the Green Light Bill, which would give undocumented immigrants the right to a driver's license; CBS2's Hazel Sanchez reports.

My dude if you lose Daca how you going to work for uber or lyft? They will ask for workers authorization which you won't have anymore. So your only option is to work for local taxi and getting paid under table.

You're a 1099 worker so you don't need work authorization.

You need WA.

Federal law prohibits individuals or businesses from contracting with an independent contractor knowing that the independent contractor is not authorized to work in the U.S. (USCIS)

Not legally authorized to work means for any work regardless of the form of work or payment. It is not recommended you violate those terms. It may take time but you will get caught and when you do, you’ll find remaining in or returning to the United States in the future will be difficult, if not impossible.

So even thought Uber doesn't ask you to fill out I-9 you are still liable. And i wouldn't take that risk.
