Yes, you should be able to meet the requirements for it if you have DACA.

RealID is part of your driver's license or ID. It is literally just a star on your ID.



You get it because you already have DACA, just present the same documents you do when you get your Drivers License, thats what I did for mine. All I had to do was say yes.

Just got to the DMV as normal. In most states they'll give you a REAL ID by default. For instance, I live in Nebraska. They only give REAL IDs.

Not sure in other states, but you can see if its a real ID if it has a start on the corner.

Real ID requires that the state has proven that you are allowed to be in the US legally or else the Driver's license can't be used for air travel and other federal things. God only knows what happens later when private businesses stop accepting non-realID licenses and discriminate.

In general, Red states only offer the one license and give a big "Go fuck yourself" to undocumented people as well as legal immigrants or American citizens who can't or don't want to get a Real ID license. Remember, this means that citizens actually have to go dig out their birth certificate, passport, or other proofs that they're citizens too and in a way, they're hassled more than someone with a Green Card who can just show that as proof.

Blue states tend to have two licenses - one that is Real Id compliant with a star on it and one that is for driving and general ID purposes except for flying that says "federal restrictions apply"

And I will point out that Real ID was a complete bullshit law that was attached to a defense spending bill back in the late 2000's and would have done NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING to prevent the 2001 attacks. It's all security theater and to make the lives of immigrants harder. Nothing else.

do you guys know if someone with a NON real ID DL can fly?

Some say it is okay to fly in Oct 2020 and other warn against it. Asking for my mom.

You can use any foreign valid passport to fly....


No need for real id.

I notice some Americans even use their passport for local travel.
