Recent graduate w/o DACA

Hi! I recently graduated with 2 Bachelors in accounting and economics. I live in NYC and I am currently a nanny. I want to get out of nannying and get into my career but oh for the obvious. Anyone have any ideas or tips on how to start my accounting career without documents. My mom has an application in for me so its really a waiting game. I am currently working on getting my CPA

I heard theres a way you could start a business and then thru the business work. Don't know the exact details.

hmm can you get a CPA? If you can I would just start your own accounting firm. There no restrictions on being your own boss. No SS required. Get yourself a TIN and report.

well I would need the 1 year work requirement to get the the license but other than that I can sit for the exams in my state

Work under a CPA as "internship" and get them to sign off on your work experience. I have other (not CPA) but similar audit related certifications and the work verification form is a joke.

yeah what fl_dreamer said about getting the work experience under a CPA. I'm not sure what your nationality is but in the asian community plenty of accounting firms pay under the table for it's accountants.

Hopefully when (if) Joe Biden wins, DACA can start taking initial applications again.
