Hello, I have friend who has valid green card and went to India and stayed there for over an year now he wants to come back what are the chances he will be able to come back to US? What does he needs to do or what can he do to regain entry back into the US?
Thank you in advance for any information or help.

Best thing is to just board a plane and hope nobody notices he was out of the country for over a year. If he gets through CBP he's home free.

There is an SB-1 returning resident visa but you have to prove that you've stayed outside of US due to exceptional circumstances.
