So who else is following and laughing out loud at the clownshow that is the House speaker vote?

Round 4 just failed and they are looking to do #5 and possibly even more to elect someone as the GOP house speaker.

Hopefully something good comes out of this like moderate dems pitch in their votes in exchange for some concessions (like guarantee on immigration bill votes) OR they go with a totally different nominee that is very moderate. It could be the catalyst for an era of bipartisanship.

What is guaranteed is the Freedom Caucus is going to be squashed by leadership in the not too long distant future as payback for the circus act.

I hate how Pelosi straight out rejected an idea of helping GOP elect the speaker with Dem votes. At some point they will elect someone. Better to be part of the solution and get some concessions out of them. Instead she is being extremely bitter (she and Mccarthy haven't spoken in years) and hanging them out to dry.

I'm so enjoying this Clown show.

Right now Mccarthy is feeling the same pain we felt when the dream act failed to get enough votes lol

The dems should find a way to cease the opportunity

I think is funny how Mccarthy has been running his mouth since November like he already owned the House. He is looking like clown right now.

The republicans are embarrassing Mccarthy in the open, and the Democrats are definitely enjoying the ride.

I bet money on Mccarthy, if he gets nominated I win money and if he doesn't I get the pleasure of seeing his career end, is a win-win lol

When your opponent is making a mistake or getting a beating, don't interrupt them. The longer this goes on, the more of a political beating the GOP take; voters lose confidence in their ability to govern.

Dems are prepping and not just watching, they will most likely offer to elect a neutral party that both groups can get behind. I can guarantee that people are being vetted.

I hope so but no doubt there is some bitterness going on here b/ween Pelosi and McCarthy.

Don Bacon also said that if the gridlock around the speaker vote continues, “at some point it may require a bipartisan solution.” But he would not say whether he had been talking with, or made overtures to, Democrats.

It does appear though GOP will be able to broker some agreement within its own party by tonight, per Chip Roy's comments.

What’s crazy is not even trump could control it. Crazy how much power he lost even from his most loyal reps
