Breaking: Trump to invoke wartime Alien Enemies Act to carry out mass deportations

As early as Friday, President Donald Trump is expected to invoke the Alien Enemies Act -- a wartime law that allows the president to detain or deport the natives and citizens of an enemy nation -- as part of the efforts to carry out mass deportations, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

The Department of Defense is not expected to have a role in the invoking of the authority, which could be used to deport some migrants without a hearing.

There have been discussions inside the administration about invoking the act, multiple sources said.

Trump had previously said on the campaign trail that he planned to invoke the act, which hasn't been used since World War II, when it was used to detain Japanese Americans.

During World War II, the Alien Enemies Act was partially used to justify the internment of Japanese immigrants who had not become U.S. citizens. The broader internment of Japanese-Americans was carried out under executive orders signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and not the Alien Enemies Act since the law does not apply to U.S. citizens.

people that are going to be targeted:

ANYBODY that has descent or is a national of:

Venezuela -Tren De Aragua
Mexico- Cartels
other countries the US has labeled for having foreign terrorist organizations.

all i can think is how much of a massive landslide the Democrats are going to get and win the 2028 elections.

lawsuits are going to be insane once orange man leaves office lmaoo

The Democrats are to stupid to capitalize on the current situation. With a mere 28% approval rating and a mass exodus of members, it is clear that they are too old and incompetent to adapt.

The fact that they are still supporting Kamala as their next candidate speaks volumes.

Anybody of Mexican descent even if US citizen due to the cartels being labeled.

Claudia needs to go thermonuclear if this happens.

it all depends how the cat is going to be enacted, this could even trigger a civil war.

States like Florida and other southern states would immediately comply but this would enrage their minorities as a whole.

If you're not of Mexican nor Venezu descent, maybe you're off the hook for a bit.

DHS will be dealing with millions of MX, VZ for years.
