Dude said DACA is already dead in TX, this is contrary to everything that was said when it was last in court. WTF? What to believe?? Guess I got to move within the next few months.

Bottom line: no more EADs for TX DACAs. Only deferred action.

But if they're caught working without EADs?

Could be criminal.

Texico turning an imaginary and largely unproven fiscal injury. I think their argument was the cost of k-12 education, but they can't untangle the costs so late in the game. Or some sort of medical costs. Who knows, it was flimsy to begin with.

Now it will turn into a real and lasting fiscal injury when people relocate to other states. Lower tax base, car dependent suburbia, lower representation in the house where margins are narrow. I'm not really seeing the benefit to doing all this other than self defeating policy.

I think texico is one of the larger daca states so it will be proportionally impacted. Their original goal was to get DACA removed nation wide but it failed comically and catastrophically for them with a narrow ruling. That and the ongoing measles epidemic in there.

Wow 11 states and 1,000 cases, wasn't it only confined to Texas. I remember when it was just Gaines county and like 3 deaths.

You'd think with its high virulence they'd close the texican airports and land crossings but with it now in 11 states that chance has long gone.

It's likely going to spread via airports and the highways and the unfun part is each new infection gives it plenty of chances to learn vaccine avoidance and become measles 2. It's likely going to be in all states within the Trump term. The worst part is how innocent kids that don't know any better and, babies, and imunocompromised will be most affected by the selfish actions of a few. No you do not have a right to measles.

Entirely avoidable screw up just like the tariffs keeping prices high and albergo Garcia. Expected this to happen. RFK is the measles plague lord and everywhere he is put in charge measles follows soon after. Samoa, Minnesota somali community, and now the entire US.

It's the thing about vaccines that they made the threat of measles seem irrelevant because it's not around and common anymore, so people stop taking vaccines and the disease comes back. Oh well. Good luck everyone.

I didn't really understand his take on "the rumor" of President Trump wanting to soon cancel out DACA. If President Trump wanted to do that, he would have done it already. As matter of fact, he could have done that in his first term with a new executive order. Not to mention, they are processing new applications to those that applied the first time.

Idk, but this fear mongering to me. You're a lawyer, you can't be saying stuff like.. "I heard a rumor". Your supposed to give an opinion based on facts, not rumors.

But I think he was dead on, I mean dead ass dead on, about the birthright citizenship being dismantled.

I remember his tweets about Trump undoing BC.

And that is exactly what was tried by Trump.

If they do decide to take away the work permits of those in Texas, from what I understand, it won't happen overnight. There's still no information on how or when they'll do it. If you are a year or less from expiration it would probably be a good idea to submit a renewal asap.
