Any chem majors?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there are any chemistry majors out there, or anyone that knows a chem major. I'm thinking about going to med school but I'm trying to get a student's perspective, not just from the student guidebooks. Any help is appreciated

I'm Pre-med major as well. There really isn't a "good major" to take if you want to go to med school. People generally go for Biology/Chem majors since pre reqs for med school and pre reqs for that bachelor degree are similar. Some people take other majors (even lit, art, history, foreign language, engineering), and as long as they complete the pre reqs, they have the same chance as science majors. A nursing major, however, might put you at a disadvantage since medical schools believe that admitting nursing majors contributes to the nursing shortage, not saying they definitely don't admit nursing majors though. I would say go with Chem, you have to take organic/inorganic for med school anyway so might as well.
