"On February 24, 2015, we received your Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Receipt Number LIN....., and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 26, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283."

Has anyone ever received this? My little sister expires on April 16th. She didn't receive the notice on March 26. We called USCIS already and they said they're going to send another notice but still didn't get it. They didn't say whether she's rejected or if they need a request for evidence.

I just want to know if anyone received something similar (just to have a peace of mind while waiting for the notice). She might expire during this process noting that it's 7 days till she expires.

Any helpful comment is appreciated. Thank you.

1) She's for DACA renewal
2) She's already done her biometrics

Not yet. It says she was supposed to receive them March 26. We called and until now still nothing. And they won't say what the notice entails.

I guess. I was just wondering if anyone received the same update on their case status.

Well she must have received receipts for this case otherwise how could she check her case status online? The receipts show your case number and this is obviously the message that displays on your case status when your app is pending.

I think your sister and you are thinking that something else is supposed to come after or on march 26, but I think the form you received is what you're supposed to receive by that date. Once you send in your renewal or your initial app you get receipts, then you get a biometrics appointment. Has she received her biometrics appointment? Let me know if that sounds confusing.

She already did her biometrics on the 2nd week of march. So she was basically just waiting to be approved for renewal. Instead of saying whether she's approved or not, her case status says she was sent a notice to see how her case will be handled.

But we haven't received that specific notice yet.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but that notice you're getting when you check your case status online is the notice you will continue to see until your case is approved or you get an RFE or you change your name. Otherwise expect to see that same notice until your sisters case is approved. When I applied all I received as the receipts for the two forms, the biometrics notice. Until my case was approved that was the same message I saw every time I checked my case status online. Until one day I checked and it had change to approved. Then a week later the notice changed to notify me that my card was mailed. That's just how it is. They don't send you a letter detailing what they are doing with your case. I hope this helps. Aside from the receipts and biometrics appointment letters you shouldn't really receive any other forms until the case has been approved. They might send you an RFE if they need more evidence but I think that's about it.
