I assume that most of us here at DAP, are undocumented. But i feel like everyone of us is involved in American politics because this is our country, this is where we live. I would say that the whole country is split in half.

we have the Democrats & Republicans who are just divided. I would say that even though the GOP is not a majority, they are the ones that make the biggest noise. think of it as the couple of teenagers that do stupid things in the train wagon; amongst hundred of people who are sitting down reading their newspaper.

and i believe its safe to say that most republicans are fanatics of religion, mostly old white, countryside; small town people. the reason that this is important is because all 12 million of us, support Barack Obama, therefor support the Democratic party.

the reason that this is important is because some politicians have to understand that the country is changing, its becoming more diverse, witch is a good thing. you cannot appeal to the same people any more, you have to appeal to everyone.

when it comes to CIR, there's 2 roads the Republicans could take:

1) appeal more to the Hispanic and immigrant communities in order to build up their party again. OR

2) continue sinking lower into the ranks by not supporting CIR.

the smart republicans have understood that (Specter) and because of it, he will be rewarded for it.

I believe that immigration is the last battleground of the fight... and believe me; its gonna get ugly. these people hate us soo much, that if they have no other choice; they will start marching through the streets with guns.

tell me what you think.

Good point Alex, by the way...

A civil war, yes - rebellious anti-immigrants will protest with foul words and even violence. . . I've thought of this as well, but was too lazy to post it. As the baby boomers die off, the newer generation will approach things more in a liberal/democratic way, instead of the usual conservative/republican way.

I guess you could say it's a "Win - Win" situation for us in the upcoming years, as we will be considered the winning vote.

As the pretty bitch would say Yay! they're fighting over me!

I was in 6th and 7th grade when I saw Afghanistan and Iraq being bombarded on t.v. i thought to myself "damn that's soo cool that things could explode like that"... i rolled over my bed acting like I was G.I Joe shooting at bad guys. I used to like the fact that the U.S. was kicking ass; and I agreed with what Bush was saying, i liked to watch how the army was driving in tanks into Iraq, it was soo COOL, just like the movies.

but I was 12. I grew older and realized that there were people right below were those bombs used to drop like candy out of a pinata. I realized that it wasn't that cool. so in my opinion, some Americans are still kids in the head, who grew up physically, but not mentally.
